5 out of 5 stars TomTom ONE Review   January 9, 2009
A. Wilson
For me, this GPS is worth its weight in gold!! I never leave home without it and for less than $100 it's a bargain.
It's easy to use and will get you where you need to go. I was so impressed that I bought 3 more for each of my kids!
Maybe it doesn't have the most up-to-date maps, maybe it doesn't have all the features of other systems but it also doesn't have the high price tag either.
If all you want is to know how to get places, then this $100 unit is all you need.

4 out of 5 stars Good starter GPS   January 9, 2009
Sathya Elavarthi (Stillwater, USA)
This is my first GPS. I have used it several times and found it easy to use and very useful especially in the chaotic roads on the East coast. For $99.99 it is a good bargain. I have not used any other GPS to compare. One feature it lacks (I would prefer to have)is that it does not announce the exit number (eg. Take exit 4B), instead it just says "take the next right". You can find the exit number displayed on top of screen, but when the traffic is busy and two exits are close to each other, you will miss the exit. The good news is , even if you miss the exit, it recalculates your new route very fast.I never lost satellite connection with my GPS.
Screen display and voice levels are good. Overall it meets my needs, and I am happy about it.

My daughter who is geographically challenged loves this, she says it is very easy to operate and does a great job with directions. Display is easy to read and it also talks to you.

2 out of 5 stars Inexpensive and shows   January 9, 2009
Richard W. Bacchetta (Rochester, NY)
This is an inexpensive GPS with basic function. It's lack of street name announce is a major drawback. Having the street name announced is an excellent confirmation you are on the right route. For $50 to $100 more you can get a device that has this feature.

One can live without street announce, but what soured me on this device was being told several times to turn into a river. It was returned in favor of a Garmin 260W which I am very happy with.

5 out of 5 stars Wow!   January 9, 2009

This bad boy is the best! I can't believe how accurate it is. It's totally easy to use - just plug and drive. I love it so much, I don't think I'll ever drive again without it. :)
